Michael Monteleone

Managing Partner

Mr. Monteleone oversees prospective investments, negotiates and executes transactions, and manages portfolio company and limited partner relationships.  Prior to founding Point Lookout Capital Partners, he was a Managing Director for Harbourton Enterprises, a New York-based investment company, where he was responsible for the firm’s private equity investments. 

 

Prior to Harbourton Enterprises, Mr. Monteleone was a founding partner of First Dominion Capital, a New York-based merchant banking and asset management business that specialized in providing capital to leveraged, non-investment grade, middle market companies.  Since its inception in 1997 until its sale to Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette Inc. in 2000, First Dominion Capital provided over $600 million in capital to a variety of businesses and had originated collateralized debt obligations totaling approximately $2.5 billion.  Prior to First Dominion Capital, he worked for the New York-based Indosuez Capital, the merchant banking arm of Credit Agricole Indosuez. 

 

Mr. Monteleone currently serves on the board of directors of each PLCP portfolio company and previously F.N.B. Capital Corporation (now Tecum Capital), an alternative investment platform and prior subsidiary of F.N.B. Bank (Advisory Board) and Hands Together (Trustee).  Mr. Monteleone received a Bachelor of Arts from Lafayette College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

James Cesare

Managing Partner

Mr. Cesare oversees prospective investments, negotiates and executes transactions, and manages portfolio company and limited partner relationships. Additionally, Mr. Cesare oversees his family interests in a third-generation diversified holding company which have owned or controlled businesses in insurance, banking, energy, alternative energy and real estate markets.  Mr. Cesare is also a board member of an unaffiliated single-family office focused on private investments in small and middle market companies. 


Prior to his current investment focus, Mr. Cesare was a corporate finance attorney in the New York office of a multinational law firm. Mr. Cesare has extensive experience in securities offerings, public and private financings and has led strategic mergers and acquisitions over a broad range of industries including energy, security & defense, entertainment, consumer products and healthcare. In addition to his domestic experience, previously Mr. Cesare focused on venture capital investments during a secondment to the Paris-based office of Seventure (prior subsidiary of Natixis Global Asset Management).

Mr. Cesare serves on several boards of directors, including each PLCP portfolio company, and previously F.N.B. Capital Corporation (now Tecum Capital), an alternative investment platform and prior subsidiary of F.N.B. Bank (Advisory Board).  Mr. Cesare received a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center.
